1973 Oday Sailboat Paint Job

This is another paint job I did on a Sailboat, a 1973 Oday to be exact, one of the many projects I have taken on that was a kind of a refresh from old day to modern day looks.

My customer wanted to changed the color scheme to something that looked like newer Oday sailboats and I think that the condition it was in was not very favorable for smooth sailing. This boat had bottom paint on it and that created a far amount of drag which is not good at all for wind powered boats.

Not a problem, we sanded the bottom paint off and repainted the entire hull with a light yellow color separated with a silver and white stripe and the bottom painted a solid black. We topped it off with some custom decals that mocked the original O’Day Logo. A really nice finish to an older boat.
