Project Description

1988 Bayliner Capri Paint Job

Time to give that old boat a new look? How about painting it to match your truck? That’s what we did here with this 1988 Bayliner Capri 19ft bow rider.

In the photo gallery you can see the basic process, which is sanding, bodywork, priming and painting. When I do any kind of paint work or cosmetic work such as wet sanding and buffing, I always remove any hardware (cleats, buttons, rub rails, ladders, swim platforms, etc.) that is in the area of the repair, this makes for a cleaner better overall job. Also, the interior is bagged with plastic to keep it dust free and the trailer is also bagged to keep it over spray free. Its these attention to details that can and does make a difference.
