Project Description

1995 Nitro 180FS Blk-Red

For me this would be my average basic transom replacement for a bass boat. My customer did mention that there had been previous repairs done to the transom by the previous owner. Once I started working on this project, I found just that, new wood and fiberglass in place over the top of the rotted transom, basically just a band aide to give the bottom bolts something to tighten down to. Well, in order to do the job right you have to remove all of the rotted wood and replace with new wood and fiberglass. As you can see in this project as well as most of my other similar projects, I cut a section of the hull out in order to access the area to be repaired. This method I use is more cost effective than removing the entire top of the hull.
