Project Description

1999 Ski Nautiques Tree Falling Damage

When trees fall on boats it’s a little different than when the fall on cars. The hull on a boat is part of the structural makeup of  the vehicle, with a car the structure is beneath what you see on the outside and is just thin sheet metal. So, just a regular tree falling on a boat could relatively cause very little damage, where as with a car it would be very different and definitely cause damage.
The tree that hit this boat was a medium to large tree and caused some pretty bad damage, but it didn’t render the boat totaled, if this were a car it would probably be labeled as a pancake. In addition to what you see in the pictures, a limb of the tree actually went through the floor also.
